Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your booking, payment, and participation in courses provided by BMUA Academy ("the Academy", "we", "our", or "us").
By booking a course, workshop, or training programme with BMUA Academy, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Course Bookings

All course bookings are subject to availability.

Your place is confirmed only once payment in full or the required deposit has been received.

BMUA Academy reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking where necessary.
2. Course Fees and Payments

All course fees are quoted in Pounds Sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable.

Payments may be made securely online using accepted debit and credit cards.

Full payment or the agreed deposit must be received before your place is secured.
-
Where instalment plans are offered, payments must be made according to the agreed schedule.

Failure to make payments on time may result in your place being suspended or cancelled.
3. Online Card Payments

All online payments are processed through a secure third-party payment provider.

BMUA Academy does not store your full payment card details.

By making a payment, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment card provided.

If a payment is declined, reversed or subject to a chargeback, BMUA Academy reserves the right to suspend your booking until payment has been successfully received.
4. Deposits

Deposits are non-refundable unless BMUA Academy cancels the course.

Deposits may be transferred to another course at the Academy's discretion where reasonable notice has been provided.
5. Student Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your booking:

More than 28 days before the course start date: payments made (excluding any non-refundable deposit) may be refunded.

Between 14 and 28 days before the course start date: 50% of the course fee may be refunded.
-
Less than 14 days before the course start date: no refund will normally be available.
Any approved refunds will be made to the original payment method.
6. Cancellation by BMUA Academy
BMUA Academy reserves the right to postpone or cancel any course due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including tutor illness, insufficient enrolment or unforeseen events.
Where this occurs, students will be offered one of the following:

Transfer to an alternative course date.

Credit towards a future course.

A full refund of any fees paid.
BMUA Academy is not responsible for travel, accommodation, childcare, loss of earnings or any other indirect or consequential expenses.
7. Student Conduct
Students are expected to:

Arrive on time.
-
Treat tutors, staff and fellow students with respect.
-
Follow all health and safety instructions.
-
Maintain professional behaviour throughout the course.
BMUA Academy reserves the right to remove any student whose behaviour is disruptive, abusive, threatening or unsafe. In these circumstances, no refund will be issued.
8. Course Materials
All course manuals, presentations, videos, photographs and teaching materials remain the intellectual property of BMUA Academy.
They must not be copied, shared, reproduced, sold or distributed without prior written permission.
9. Certification
Certificates will only be awarded where students have:

Successfully completed the required training.

Met attendance requirements.

Completed any required practical or written assessments.
10. Photography and Promotional Material
BMUA Academy may take photographs or videos during courses for marketing and promotional purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in promotional material, please notify us in writing before your course begins.
11. Student Responsibilities
Students should inform BMUA Academy of any allergies, skin sensitivities or relevant medical conditions before participating in practical training.
Students are responsible for following tutor instructions regarding hygiene, sanitation and safe working practices.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BMUA Academy's liability shall be limited to the fees paid for the relevant course.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any liability which cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
13. Data Protection
BMUA Academy processes personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.
Personal information is used only for course administration, communication, legal obligations and related business purposes.
14. Force Majeure
BMUA Academy shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform its obligations where caused by events outside its reasonable control, including severe weather, government restrictions, pandemics, transport disruption, power failures or other unforeseen circumstances.
15. Course Changes
BMUA Academy reserves the right to make reasonable changes to:

Course content.
-
Course dates.
-
Tutors.
-
Venues.
-
Timetables.
-
Training materials.
Such changes will only be made where reasonably necessary to maintain the quality of the training.
16. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
